Everything is Wrong
Manifesta 1, Witte de With, Rotterdam, 1996
Materials: Acrylic on wall
Dimensions: 400 cm x 400 cm

Note: Everything is Wrong is a circular wall painting in the shape of a target, painted with primary colours. On a horizontal line, across the target, the words everything is wrong are inscribed. The statement is adapted from the album of the same name by musician Moby. It somehow seems appropriate as a diagnosis of the turn of the century. The target was inspired both by Kenneth Noland and Jasper Johns, who also used this standard modernistic form. Exists both as a wall painting and as a gouache on paper.
