Notes: Annihilation Parade was a collaboration with Jonas Maria Schul. Four trucks loaded with rubble from demolished buildings formed a 15 kilometre-long parade through the suburb of Herlev. In the shopping area of Herlev I dropped 1000 US bills with a one dollar denomination from the last truck in the parade. The money scramble took place in the suburb in which I grew up – a sort of profiteer’s homecoming to his native town. Reactions were extremely mixed. Some were upset about the money scramble and my friends told me that they had heard stories from those with lively imaginations explaining the scenario to other people on the street; ‘Oh, the guy is moving to the US where he’s about to marry a girl!’ The Annihilation Parade continued for a period of two hours, the day of the opening of the exhibition Instant Herlev. The project also involved a five poster project feature, among which Prison Poster and Dollar Drop are two examples.
